March 19, 2024 ESX

Boasting a fascinating history, a thriving city life, and warm southern hospitality. Louisville will host ESX 2024 again this year. Giving attendees the opportunity to explore the exciting home of the Kentucky Derby, the Louisville Slugger, and the word’s only Urban Bourbon Experience once again.

Don’t miss your chance to get to know Louisville between or after ESX sessions this year!

With more than 120 attractions spanning across history, visual and performing arts, culinary arts, and more. Louisville has something for everyone.

The Sports

If you have an interest in sports, check out the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, which celebrates Louisville’s role in baseball, take a self-guided tour of “Ali’s Footsteps of Greatness” for a look into the boxing legend’s origins, or visit Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby Museum, which pay homage to the thoroughbred horse – a hallmark of what makes Kentucky so special.

The History

If you want to feel part of history yourself, take a ride on the Belle of Louisville, the oldest operating steamboat still in existence for a glimpse into early Louisville, visit Conrad Castle, or enjoy the view from the Big Four Bridge.

The Culinary Scene

If you’re in search of delicious food and drink, you’ve come to the right city. Louisville is a happening place when it comes to culinary innovation, as local chefs compete with each other to evolve Southern classics, making Louisville the epicenter for “New Southern Cuisine”. Of course, you’ll need to learn the local food language of treats like: Benedictine, Burgoo, Modjeskas, and the Hot Brown. But don’t be afraid to ask!

Iif you want to look beyond the cuisine, take some time to tour the vast array of distilleries that are open for public tours and tastings. The Urban Bourbon Trail boasts over 35 bars and restaurants with more than 60 bourbons and bourbon-inspired culinary delights – so download the passport, collect your stamps, and enjoy a special prize at the end.

The Art Scene

If the arts are more to your liking, Louisville is one of only a handful of U.S. cities with a professional full-time orchestra, opera, ballet, children’s theatre, dinner theatre, and Broadway Series. The Speed Art Museum and the KMAC both showcase the visual arts in their own stunning spaces.

These, plus a zoo, amusement park, breweries, historic homes, confectionaries, parks, and music festivals comprise the fabric of Louisville’s cultural scene. You certainly won’t come up short when thinking of things to do here.

Where to Stay

In short, most leaders are often given titles with little vision. Besides they are often given expectations with very little direction. The old saying rings true. It is lonely at the top. Equally important leaders desperately need a go-to strategy and system they can rely on when they feel like they have no one in their corner to guide them.

  Key Takeaways Attendees Can Expect:

  • What is it like to follow me? (The Self-awareness Question)
  • What credit can I give away? (The Team Player Question)
  • What mistakes can I own? (The Humility Question)
  • How can I get better? (The Self-improvement Question)
  • Why am I doing it? (The Purpose Question)
  • Who am I equipping for the future? (The Legacy/Succession Question)
  • Who knows who I really am? (The Transparency Question)

“At ESX, we are committed to bringing fantastic keynote speakers to the Main Stage, transforming ordinary moments into enduring inspiration.” says George De Marco, ESX Chairman “I invite security professionals to join us on a journey with Ryan Leak, where ideas flourish, perspectives shift, and positive change takes hold.”
