Atlanta, Georgia, home to this year’s ESX, is a welcoming city offering much to see and do. ENTERTAINMENT: A 1930 Spanish Baroque gem, the Buckhead Theatre stands a stone’s throw from the neighborhood’s hopping restaurants and bars. Exuding an unmistakable Art Deco vibe, it hosts rock concerts, comedy shows, and more.  

SOMETHING TO SEA: The Georgia Aquarium ranks as the largest in the U.S. and houses over 11 million gallons of water, thousands of animals, and 500 species in more than 60 habitats. Take in some thrilling shark, otter, dolphin, penguin, and sea lion sightings! 

RETAIL THERAPY: Dubbed the hippie ‘hood, Little Five Points offers all you need to dive into your eclectic side in one of Atlanta’s most unique neighborhoods. Populated with shops, street art, sneaker stores, dive bars, and nostalgic spots to find vinyl records and collectibles, Little Five Points is a shopper’s dream. 

TAKE A WALK IN THE PARK: The thrill of the 1996 Summer Olympics still echoes in Downtown Atlanta at Centennial Olympic Park. Pose for a pic in front of the sculpture of the Olympic rings or take in a spectacular view of the city from above on SkyView, a 20-story Ferris wheel featuring climate-controlled gondolas.  

A FILM BUFF’S DREAM: Get up-close-and-personal to where some of the highest-grossing films were made when you tour Trilith Studios. Travel buffs will also want to check out Assembly Studios featuring structures tthat make you feel like ou’re traveling the globe.  

SEE WHERE HISTORY WAS MADE: Delve into Atlanta’s rich history by visiting what was the commercial center of Black Atlanta in the 1920s. The Auburn Avenue Research Library, APEX Museum, Atlanta Daily World, historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, and the Municipal Market are just some of the iconic locations you’ll find here. And you can hitch a ride on the Atlanta Streetcar to easily see all the historic landmarks.  

HANG OUT AT THE DELTA FLIGHT MUSEUM: Located in Delta’s original 1940s-era aircraft hangars, here you’ll learn about the Boeing 767 pre-flight pilot checklist and take a turn in the flight simulator. 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of Delta Air Lines, so it’s an ideal time to put it on your To Do list.
