Marty Guay, with over three decades experience as a corporate innovator, has spent the past six years working with startups, academia, venture capital and global corporations to create business value opportunities for Stanley Black & Decker. In 2023, Marty was named Visionary of the Year at VENTUREFUEL.

At Stanley Black & Decker, Guay is responsible for the inception of the company’s accelerator program where he successfully connects startups with technological and commercial relationships inside the organization and throughout global ecosystems. Guay sits on the advisory boards of multiple startups and serves as a board member of the state of Connecticut Governor’s Workforce Council and as a liaison to the Business Roundtable. In addition to these roles, Guay also oversees the company’s global philanthropy program that is focused on closing the skilled trades gap through its Grow the Trades program.

Previously, Marty was a senior leader at STANLEY Security, the second largest global provider of electronic security.  He served at the President, Integrated Systems as well as the Vice President of Sales and Operations for North America.   Previous to STANLEY, Marty had twenty years of security experience notably as the President of Niscayah, USA and the Chief Operating Officer for Securitas Systems.  During this time, Marty led strong organic growth, several acquisitions, and strategic transformations of the business model.

Marty earned a bachelor’s degree and M.B.A. from George Washington University. He completed the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.
