Special reduced rates have been secured at Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel connected directly to the convention center. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and discounted rooms are only available while the block lasts, so be sure to book early for the best selection and price.
NOTE: It has been brought to our attention that companies may try to reach out to book your hotel rooms. Only reservations made through the ESX website will be considered part of our group. This is a scam—please do not respond.
An ESX speaker’s job is to create a forum where relevant concepts, topics, or issues are raised and explored—but not necessarily resolved. As a speaker it is your responsibility to provoke thought and encourage participation and interaction. Your goal is to facilitate thought and analysis by giving attendees information, tools, and insights they can use to make the right decisions for their company.
Ask attendees to complete the sessions survey in the MyESX app after each session. We want to measure the session for effectiveness, relevance, and quality of experience from the attendees’ perspective.
An ESX Track Leader takes responsibility for the successful execution of a set of educational sessions at ESX (2-5 sessions). This subject matter expert commits to the following:
A Lead Speaker will be assigned for all sessions (if there is no moderator). In the case of a single speaker, that individual is automatically the Lead Speaker. When there are multiple speakers in a single session, a single Lead Speaker will be assigned.
The Lead Speaker is the primary liaison with ESX. They will coordinate and follow up with his or her fellow speakers or panelists to ensure the session description and learning objectives are fulfilled by the session content and be responsible for combining all slides into a single PowerPoint presentation. Please download the presentation prior to arrival and ensure you coordinate what speaker’s laptop will be used for the presentation.
For sessions with a panel discussion format, a Moderator will be selected. The Moderator’s responsibilities are to introduce the session, manage the session while it is in progress and keep the content on track, facilitate Q & A, and make sure the session starts and ends on time. In most cases, the Moderator will also be the Lead Speaker.
