Mik is a technologist with a passion for building things that have never existed before. Mik comes to Ubiety from NASA and Caltech where he worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and served as the lead for JPL’s “Internet of Things” team. This team was part of a group tasked with identifying, prototyping, demonstrating, and socializing new technologies that would be impactful over the next 5-10 years.
In his tenure at JPL, Mik created and deployed a number of Cloud Computing, Analytics, Virtual Assistant, and IoT projects across the lab, and started and led JPL’s Open Source Rover project (https://opensourcerover.jpl.nasa.gov/) – a “build-it-yourself” Mars rover that schools and hobbyists can build at home to learn about robotics, electrical and mechanical engineering, and computer science. During his years at JPL, Mik received numerous individual and group achievement awards from JPL and NASA for his outstanding contributions, and in 2018 was honored by the Government Innovation Awards with their prestigious Rising Star Award for his exceptional contributions early in his career.
Mik joined Ubiety in 2020 to lead the development of Ubiety’s sensor and IoT platforms, and has since moved into the role of Chief Technology Officer.
