Based on the well-being of our community, the leadership of ESX has chosen to cancel Electronic Security Expo 2020 (ESX 2020), originally scheduled for June 9-12 in Nashville, Tennessee. Knowing how important ESX is for our community and the electronic security and life safety integration and monitoring professionals that rely on the event for best practice sharing and business advice, we held out hope we would be able to hold ESX in 2020.
We are unable to reschedule ESX in 2020 due to the unavailability of the venue during a time which makes sense for our attendees. Please mark your calendar to join us for ESX 2021, which will take place June 15-18, 2021, in Louisville, Kentucky. See additional details in the following Frequently Asked Questions.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the Electronic Security Expo.
Why was the decision to cancel ESX 2020 made when it was?
Knowing how important ESX is for our community and the electronic security and life safety integration and monitoring professionals that rely on the event for best practice sharing and business advice, we held out hope we would be able to hold ESX in 2020. Our decision to cancel the event was based on the well-being of our community.
Is the event being cancelled or postponed to later this year?
Due to the challenges with finding suitable dates that work for both Nashville venues and the greater industry event calendar, ESX 2020 will not be held later in the year. Looking ahead, please mark your calendars to attend ESX 2021 from June 15-18 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, KY.
Have you considered hosting a virtual version of the conference?
We are exploring alternatives to deliver a portion of the ESX 2020 programming through virtual channels. While we understand that peer-to-peer connections are an irreplaceable aspect of attending ESX, we remain committed to serving our community with relevant, timely content and insight. Please visit ESXweb.com for the latest updates and news about ESX.
Is the ESX Innovation Award Program happening this year?
Yes! While details are still being ironed out, we are conducting the 2020 Innovation Awards. The deadline for entries has been extended. See latest details and access the online submission form here.
FOR REGISTERED ATTENDEES
I purchased a Premium, Daily or Exhibit Hall Pass for ESX 2020. What are my next steps?
All paid ESX 2020 registrations will be credited to ESX 2021, taking place next June 15-18 in Louisville, Kentucky. NOTE: This locks in your registration rate for 2021. For additional questions about registration, please send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org.
FOR TRAVEL AND HOTEL ISSUES
I made hotel reservations in the official ESX housing block. Do I need to cancel those?
We are currently working with our hotel partners to automatically cancel reservations made in the official ESX 2020 housing block. Reservations made outside of the block with the hotel or through a third party, like Expedia or Travelocity, are the responsibility of the attendee to cancel. If in doubt, please call the hotel directly to confirm your cancelation.
NOTE: Please be cautious if you are contacted by any service or individual claiming to represent ESX official housing providers. Illicit service providers unaffiliated with ESX and Show Management should be reported to ESX.
I made air travel reservations to attend ESX 2020. Do I need to cancel those?
Yes, please contact the airlines and/or travel agency you used to reserve your flights to cancel. Fortunately, most airlines are being very accommodating to travelers whose plans have changed.
FOR EXHIBITORS and SPONSORS
My company had reserved booth space, sponsorship(s) and/or meeting rooms for ESX 2020. What are my next steps?
Based on existing contractual obligations related to ESX 2020 and understanding the value our exhibitor and sponsor community provides, ESX has elected to credit 100% of paid exhibitor and sponsor fees towards ESX 2021, taking place next June 15-18 in Louisville, Kentucky. (NOTE: This locks in your exhibit fees for 2021.)
Thank you for your patience as we finalize the details on the 2021 expo booth selection schedule and process in the coming weeks. Know that your 2020 investment will be realized in full at ESX 2021.
